I wanted a trainer that cared and was passionate about his work. Yossi was just that. He took his work seriously and lived what he advised you to do. I lost 35 pounds not dieting but eating right due to Yossi's tutelage. I developed a strong muscular body that I thought was not possible due to his excellent training. Yossi is mature, well informed and cares about your well being. I was happy to have been trained by him. - Marsha Lesser

Having been an athlete most of my life it was not easy seeking help. I competed in bodybuilding for 15 years and know my way around a gym but after I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis my world changed. I could still workout but it was not easy on days when my balance was "off." I didn't know how to train around this and became frustrated. I decided to do the unthinkable for me I asked for help and what I got was so much more.  Yossi is a master of his craft, incredibly bright with a deep understanding of what multiple sclerosis is and how it affects the body. My balance has improved immensely; falling was a serious problem for me. BUT since I started working with Yossi my balance and flexibility is so much better that even my neurologist commented on the difference. I also have had six neck surgeries and am fused from my occiput to T2; Yossi's knowledge of the body’s mechanics & muscle function has improved my overall health in ways that I never thought were possible. Yossi has an uncanny ability to get the most out of you and tailors each workout to your abilities. He motivates me to push past my perceived limits. He has such a positive attitude and makes each workout fun but challenging. Yossi is the real deal in an industry where there are so many incompetent trainers.

Under Yossi’s guidance, I’ve become stronger and more disciplined than I anticipated. At the same time that he pushes me to increase the amount of weight that I lift, he teaches me to be attentive to my form. While I certainly appreciate the health benefits that have come with training, this increased awareness of how my body works and transforms and even learns to move more adroitly has been the most rewarding part of working with Yossi.

I think of parkinsons as a competition. It tries to push me down physically emotionally and cognitively. I have the opportunity to push back and enjoy the exhilaration of success from the competition. To do this I need a great coach in my corner. One who knows the body and mind as well as the Parkinson’s opponent. My trainer/coach/therapist/friend blends compassion with encouragement and acceptance.
As my Parkinson’s has progressed over the years, so has my strength agility and enjoyment. Our work includes elements of boxing for speed and coordination, strength training, balance, flexibility and positive attitude.
I cannot do this alone. I feel eternally grateful and privileged to have Yossi Solan in my corner to cheer me on and show me the way.
